Nima is home for the holidays

With Christmas around the corner, we get inspired by all the stories we hear from our community surviving the holidays with special diets. We’re excited when we hear how Nima will make staying healthy over the holidays even easier, and we love seeing Nima being gifted all over the country (and Canada!) by loved ones hoping to provide some freedom at mealtime.

For a little holiday cheer, we’re sharing some of these perspectives with you and encourage you to see what else our community has to say about Nima.

Knowledge is delicious

“I’m from NYC but I’m going to Miami for the holidays so I need to test foods since I’m not familiar with restaurants out there. Usually I cook my own food but won’t be able to on my travels.”

“I purchased Nima to help with unknown foods at parties.”

• • •

“I want to be more secure in my food choices. I have celiac and it’s hard to say no to going out to eat with friends and family, but I want to be able to eat safely and I think Nima will help me do that. I’m especially interested in testing teas and food at restaurants I’ve never been to.”

• • •

“I have celiac and am 3 years GF and very strict about it but still reacting and I don’t know why. I suspect cross contamination – I’m hoping Nima can help me figure it out!”

• • •

“I bought it because it will give me the freedom to go out to eat with my friends and not have to worry about the consequences! Now I can check my food before I eat it so no mistakes are made. It helps me be a teenager.”

• • •

“I’m allergic to gluten. I got it for eating out, because I’ve had gluten poisoning before and it is horrendous. I’ll be testing food when I eat out. I’m excited to have a tool to help my struggle.”

Giving the gift of freedom

“My older daughter went off to college this year and is having frequent accidental exposures to gluten. I am hoping this will make a big difference for her.”

• • •

“My mom was recently diagnosed with celiac disease after being ill for over a year. After her diagnosis, I started researching the disease and came across an article written in 2014 about a gluten testing prototype. You can imagine my excitement after seeing it is finished and available for purchase! She has been struggling with the major changes to her diet so I thought this would make a world of difference in her confidence about what foods she chooses, especially when going out to eat – how your food is prepared and what’s in it can be a gray area at times. I am very optimistic on the impact Nima can make in her daily life and choices.”

• • •

“My three children and I were all diagnosed with celiac disease a little over two years ago. Although only my daughter experiences symptoms, we all went gluten-free. We rarely eat out and are very cautious of new foods. We bought the Nima sensor for peace of mind and to venture out a little and try some new things.”

• • •

“Myself and daughters are celiac, and I got her this for testing gluten when she goes out.”

• • •

“Daughter has celiac and is super sensitive she is also going away to college and is scared about eating in school or eating out this will help”

• • •

“I own one and got one as a gift for my sister who recently had to go gluten-free.”
