The classic lasagne. Whether you’re feeding the whole family or meal-prepping for the work week, save time and feel satisfied with this simple but hearty dish.

Cook Time: 1 Hour

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box Barilla® Gluten Free Oven-Ready Lasagne
  • 2 jars Barilla® Marinara sauce
  • 1 15-oz container ricotta cheese
  • 1 8-oz bag mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F.
  2. In a bowl, season ricotta cheese with salt and pepper; set aside.
  3. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour 1 cup of sauce on the bottom of the dish; spread evenly. Place four sheets of lasagna side-by-side, slightly overlapped.
  4. Top the lasagna sheets with 1 cup of sauce, ¼ of the mozzarella, ¼ of the ricotta, and ¼ of the Parmigiano-Reggiano.
  5. Repeat for 3 more layers, ensuring each lasagna sheet is covered with sauce. Use any remaining sauce on the top layer.
  6.  Cover with foil; bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes. Let rest 15 minutes before serving.


ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH WITH SAGE HAZELNUT BROWN BUTTER WITH BARILLA® GLUTEN FREE PENNE

Pumpkin spice flavors maybe the trend of last month, but gourds are the real stars of this season. Cozy up with a blanket by the fireplace as you enjoy a plate of this simple butternut squash pasta.

Cook Time: 30 Mins
Feeds: 6 People

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box Barilla® Gluten Free Penne
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cups butternut squash, diced ½ inch pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 8 sage leaves, finely chopped
  • ½ cup hazelnuts, toasted, chopped
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
  2. Toss squash with olive oil and place on nonstick baking sheet.
  3. Roast squash for 20-25 minutes, until browned and fork tender.
  4. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and keep warm in large saucepan.
  5. Add roasted squash to pasta and toss well to combine.
  6. Brown butter in skillet over medium heat to hazelnut color, remove from heat.
  7. Add sage and hazelnuts to brown butter and immediately spoon over pasta.


MIXED MUSHROOMS AND ITALIAN SAUSAGE SOUP WITH BARILLA® GLUTEN FREE ELBOWS

Nothing warms you up faster than opening the doors to the comforting smell of a pot of steaming soup cooking in the kitchen. Use this recipe to make a quick and easy soup for friends and family coming into your home.

Cook Time: 30 Mins
Feeds: 6 People

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box Barilla® Gluten Free Elbows
  • 4 Packages(24oz) Mixed Mushrooms
  • 4 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 3 quarts Chicken Stock
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage boiled for 10 minutes and cut in 1/3 inch slices
  • 1 sprig Rosemary
  • 1 can Cannellini Beans drained
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Parsley chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large soup pot, bring the broth to a simmer
  2. Meanwhile, in a skillet, sauté garlic with olive oil and rosemary for one minute or until slightly yellow
  3. Add mushrooms and sauté until lightly browned
  4. Add mushrooms into broth, stir in sausage, beans, tomatoes and Barilla® Gluten-Free Elbows
  5. Cook for half the recommended time on the box
  6. Let the soup rest for ten minutes before serving
  7. Garnish with parsley and olive oil drizzled on top
